Each Friday night, April through October, The Floyd Community Artisan Market is open for business. Located under the Floyd Community Market Pavilion, next door to The Station and directly across the street from The Floyd Country Store, you will find a variety of local artisans selling their work.
Every week the market features up to 16 local craftspeople selling items such as handmade pottery, fungi earrings, fabric monsters and children’s clothing, metal and beaded jewelry, sailcloth wallets, tie dye t-shirts and much more. You will also find a local food vendor offering delicious dinner options; Mickey G’s, Natasha’s Café, Tuggle’s Gap Restaurant and a local Caribbean Chef rotate on a monthly schedule.
As the evening progresses you will usually find a gathering of musicians playing bluegrass and old time music, as well as more contemporary styles. The market has a great community atmosphere and you are sure to find yourself in an interesting conversation with one of the artisans as you shop the quality items they have for sale.
